Annual meeting of the Italian Ethological Society (SIE)

For the annual meeting of the Italian Ethological Society in 2024 we warmly welcome you at the University of Turin. The meeting will take place from Wednesday 4 to Friday 6 of September, at the Department of Life Sciences and Systems Biology (via Accademia Albertina 13).

The organizing team welcomes all of those working in the field of behavioural biology, including members and non-members of the Italian Ethological Society to present their exciting work and discuss with colleagues in person.

The social dinner will take place at the Circolo Laposta HB (via Fanti 17, 10128 Turin; https://www.ccu.it/it/ristorante) on the second day of the congress, 5 September 2024.

For reasons related to the capacity of the restaurant, participation to the social dinner is possible until available seats are filled.

Instructions for presenters

Abstract

The abstract should be included in the registration form (by May 19th Early bird or June 16th  Late registration). It should be written in English and not exceed 1500 characters (including spaces).

Title, author names, affiliations and keywords should also be included in the form. The name of the presenting author should be underlined.

Each participant can present max 1 talk or 1 poster.


Oral presentations can be in English or Italian, but slides must be in English.

A talk lasts 15 minutes and is followed by 5 min discussion including the transition between speakers. Talks can be uploaded to our system during registration. Please bring your talk on a USB flash drive.

Posters should be in portrait/vertical format A0 (84.1 cm x 118.9 cm, vertical). These should be in English. They will be displayed for the entire duration of the congress in a designated area.

By car


The Congress venue is located in a Central area, not accessible to vehicles from 7.30 to 10.30. If you intend to access during these times, you can park in the GTT VALDO FUSI underground car park (adjacent to the conference venue), declaring your vehicle's license plate upon entry (to thus avoid being charged an administrative fine). We advise you to book your overnight stay well in advance, as in recent years there has been a significant increase in tourist flow in the beautiful city of Turin!
